The Legere Synthetic Bassoon Reed (Medium) is the newest revolution in 'synthetic' or plastic bassoon reeds. Unlike classic cheap plastic bassoon reeds, Legere synthetic reeds are carefully built up to resemble the natural fibres of real bassoon reed cane.

Ready to play in an instant

Gone are the days when you need to soak your bassoon reeds. These synthetic bassoon reeds require no moisture to play, they just need 15 seconds to 'warm-up' to full playing capability. This is ideal if you are a doubling musician or do 'pit work' (you regularly play and swap between a few instruments) as the reed is always ready to play.

Legere Synthetic Bassoon reeds are made from Polypropylene, which is approved by the FDA for direct use in contact with food, so they are completely safe to use.
